Rent a bike on the Beachwalk, the paved oceanfront path running from South Pointe to 46th Street, to cover the distance between the Convention Center corridor and the Faena District without a car. Save an evening for Lincoln Road's restaurants and shops, a short walk from Washington Avenue, and use a free afternoon to cross the causeway into Downtown Miami or Wynwood, both a 20-25 minute rideshare from this stretch of the beach.

Its fourth-floor atrium, open to the sky, doubles as an event space for up to 100 guests alongside a rooftop pool terrace. Dolce by Wyndham Miami Beach opened three weeks later, on April 23, 2026, a 90-room boutique property a block away at 1745 James Avenue, part of a three-city simultaneous launch for Wyndham's lifestyle-leaning Dolce brand, with private balconies, photography by Greg Lotus and an on-site restaurant, Ciao Nonna. Grand Hyatt Miami Beach Convention Center Hotel, confirmed for November 2027, is being built directly onto the convention center via a climate-controlled skybridge: a 17-story, 800-room tower with 110,000 square feet of meeting space designed by Arquitectonica with Stonehill Taylor handling interiors, the first hotel of its kind the center has ever had. Collins Avenue's design-hotel history

Delano Miami Beach reopened in May 2026 on the same Collins Avenue block where Ian Schrager and Philippe Starck helped launch South Beach's 1990s design-hotel era, now under Ennismore after a six-year, ground-up renovation. The 171-room property preserves the columned entrance, draped white fabrics, terrazzo floors and the quartz-topped Rose Bar counter while adding a members club and new dining. Shore Club Resort and Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection, confirmed for 2027, is a full reimagining of the 1949 Art Deco Shore Club and the adjacent Cromwell Hotel, developed by Witkoff and Monroe Capital. A new 18-story residential tower and freestanding villa, both designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, will hold 49 branded residences alongside 73 hotel rooms and suites once complete.

Faena District

Aman Miami Beach, confirmed for 2027-2028, is restoring the shell of the former Versailles Hotel at 3425 Collins Avenue into a 56-key ultra-luxury property inside the Faena District's gallery corridor, developed by OKO Group under Vlad Doronin with backing from Access Industries. An adjoining 18-story residential tower designed by Kengo Kuma will add 22 units. Vertical construction has been underway since August 2025, with municipal approvals for an adjacent yacht marina following in November 2025: a sign of continued active permitting on what was originally announced back in 2023.
