The place

A three-acre, 175-foot oceanfront site on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, combining the Art Deco-era Shore Club — designed by Albert Anis and standing since 1949 — with the adjacent Cromwell Hotel.

The concept

Auberge Resorts Collection has been appointed to manage a full reimagining of the Shore Club, developed by Witkoff and Monroe Capital. The original 1949 Shore Club and the neighbouring Cromwell Hotel form the base of the project, joined by a new 18-storey residential tower and a freestanding villa, both designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA); the eight-storey Cromwell becomes the residential entrance to 49 new branded homes. The finished resort is planned to hold 73 hotel rooms and suites alongside the residences.

Dining & wellness

The programme calls for several food-and-beverage venues, an indoor-outdoor spa, a fitness center, a beach club and three pools, according to Auberge's own announcement — specific restaurant concepts and operators have not been disclosed yet.
