The Delano reopened at 1685 Collins Avenue in May 2026 after a six-year renovation, now run by Ennismore, the lifestyle arm of Accor. The hotel dates from 1947. In the 1990s Ian Schrager and Philippe Starck turned it into one of the references of South Beach design hotels, and the new owners have kept that all-white vocabulary rather than replacing it.
There are 171 rooms and suites, with a Rose Bar that returns to its old place, two restaurants, a members club and a spa.
The address is 1685 Collins Avenue, in South Beach, where the hotel has stood since 1947. The hotel keeps its pool, its bungalows and its restaurants on the property, and the Delano Members Club sits on the fourth floor, so much of the stay happens without leaving the building.
The concept
The building opened in 1947 and carries a historic designation, which shaped the renovation. The work kept the columned entrance, the draped white fabrics, the terrazzo floors, the Rose Bar with its quartz-topped counter and the white pool with its infinity edge. Starck's 1990s scheme is the reference, not a starting point to be erased.
Rooms were redone in a lighter, beach-inspired palette, and the suites have deep soaking tubs. The room count is 171, among them poolside bungalows and two new penthouse suites. Ennismore and Accor formed a joint venture in 2021, with Accor holding the majority, and Delano is one of the brands the group has expanded since: a hotel opened in Paris in April 2023 and Delano Dubai, with 251 rooms, followed in October 2024.
The Miami Beach hotel is therefore the original of a small chain, reopened after the copies.
Dining & wellness
Gigi Rigolatto, a coastal Italian restaurant operated by Paris Society, replaces the former Delano Beach Bar. It has indoor rooms, a terrace and seating by the pool, and the dishes the hotel puts forward are a beef carpaccio and a lobster linguini.
Mimi Kakushi is the first American location of a Dubai restaurant built on the atmosphere of 1920s Osaka. The room has an Art Deco influence, there is an open sushi counter, and the menu lists Kagoshima wagyu and rice cooked in a donabe pot. Cocktails are named after roles played by the silent film actor Sessue Hayakawa. The restaurant is open only to hotel guests and to members of the Delano Members Club.
The Rose Bar, the room that gave the hotel much of its 1990s reputation, is back with the quartz counter that guests knew then.

October 15, 2025: Ennismore announced that the Delano Miami Beach would reopen in early 2026. The hotel was to have 171 rooms, including poolside bungalow suites and penthouse suites, four restaurant and bar concepts including a recreation of the Rose Bar, and a design that keeps the property's historic Art Deco character. Ennismore also recalled the brand's expansion to Paris in April 2023 and Dubai in October 2024.
