The Legacy Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio property by Marriott, is nearing completion on Medina Square in downtown Medina, Ohio, with a grand opening anticipated for October 2026. The five-story, 77-room boutique hotel adds three restaurants — including a fifth-floor rooftop raw bar — to a historic square roughly 30 miles south of Cleveland.

The place
257 South Court Street, directly on Medina Square in downtown Medina, Ohio — about 30 miles south of Cleveland and 20 miles west of Akron, across the street from the Castle Noel Christmas attraction.
The concept
The project began in early 2023 under local developer Jim Gerspacher, who secured the site and initial zoning before Jason Stevenson's Autonomy Capital Group took over in 2023 and carried it through construction. The five-story building sits on the town's historic square and includes an open-air atrium running up from the second floor, a fitness studio, a library and an event center, plus roughly 100 parking spaces — a scale of project Medina Square, a small-town historic district, had not seen before. It joins Marriott's Tribute Portfolio, the brand's collection of independent-minded boutique hotels.
Dining & wellness
Three venues are planned: Lily Jean's, a street-level café and martini lounge; Privato, an Italian steakhouse serving chops and seafood; and La Vista, a rooftop bar on the fifth floor built around coastal Italian fare and a raw bar.
