The place
Moxy Dallas Uptown occupies the ground-level entrance of a new 19-story tower at 2910 N. Hall Street, at the corner of Oak Grove Avenue, one block south of McKinney Avenue in Uptown Dallas. The address sits inside Uptown's densest bar-and-restaurant corridor, within walking distance of the Katy Trail and the American Airlines Center — a location picked for its nightlife rather than its skyline views.
The concept
Moxy occupies 154 of the tower's 264 rooms, sharing the new-build with a 110-room AC Hotel that has its own separate lobby, entrance and design language — a distinct property covered as its own entry on this guide. Where the AC Hotel half leans design-forward and business-traveler focused, the Moxy side plays to Marriott's playful, younger-skewing lifestyle format: compact, efficiently planned bedrooms built around motion-activated LED guidelights and full-height artwork, with the real square footage invested in shared social spaces rather than in the rooms themselves. Developed by Peachtree Group with Phoenix Development Partners, the project broke ground in October 2024, topped out in early 2025, and is targeting a summer 2026 opening.
Dining & wellness
At street level, Bar Moxy doubles as the hotel's check-in point and social hub, serving handcrafted cocktails, local beer and light bites around a communal bar rather than a traditional front desk. Eight floors up, a rooftop lounge adds an outdoor terrace and water features with skyline views, shared with guests of the AC Hotel below.
