Hotel Mockingbird, Dallas, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Hotel Mockingbird opened March 2026 in Dallas's Park Cities neighborhood, the latest identity for a nine-story 1972 tower most recently known as The Beeman Hotel. NewcrestImage, which acquired the 296-room property in October 2024, renovated it and brought in Coury Hospitality to run it under Marriott's Tribute Portfolio brand.

The place

The hotel sits at 6070 N. Central Expressway in Dallas's Park Cities neighborhood, a short walk from Mockingbird Station and Highland Park Village and close to Southern Methodist University. The location puts guests within easy reach of Love Field, the Cotton Bowl, American Airlines Center and the Dallas Arboretum.

The concept

Hotel Mockingbird occupies a nine-story tower built in 1972 that has carried several names over five decades — Holiday Inn Dallas Central-Park Cities, a Magnolia Hotel from 2015, and The Beeman Hotel after a 2019 rebrand by Convexity Properties. NewcrestImage bought the property in October 2024 and, working with operator Coury Hospitality, renovated and repositioned it as an upscale lifestyle hotel under Marriott's Tribute Portfolio, its guest rooms, lobby and event spaces refreshed with contemporary interiors, murals and local art.

Dining & wellness

Verse Kitchen & Bar serves an international breakfast-through-dinner menu alongside specialty cocktails, while Raven, a speakeasy-style lounge open Thursday through Saturday, offers craft cocktails and shared plates, with occasional live music. The property also has 12,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, an indoor pool and a fitness center, plus spa packages arranged through a nearby partner spa.
