art'otel London Hoxton

art'otel opened its second London property on April 24, 2024, this time as a 357-room tower rising 27 floors above Shoreditch and Hoxton. Where the brand's Battersea debut handed the entire building to a single artist, the Hoxton outpost centers on British street artist D*Face, whose murals, sculptures and two original Banksy pieces run through public galleries open to guests and passers-by alike. It is Radisson Hotel Group's art'otel brand testing whether a purpose-built high-rise, rather than a repurposed landmark, can carry the same art-first premise.

The place

The hotel stands on the border of Hoxton and Shoreditch, close to Old Street Underground station, putting the City, Liverpool Street and the Elizabeth Line within easy reach, along with direct links to Heathrow, Gatwick and other London airports. The neighborhood has spent two decades shifting from a design and nightlife enclave into a denser mix of offices, galleries and residential towers, and art'otel's 27-storey building adds one of the taller additions to that skyline. For a brand built around art and design, the setting matters: Shoreditch remains one of the few London districts where street art and gallery culture are part of the everyday streetscape rather than an imported theme.

The concept

art'otel London Hoxton is the brand's second UK property, operated by Radisson Hotel Group in partnership with PPHE Hotel Group, and its largest to date at 357 rooms and suites, including 48 luxury suites and a 196m² D*Face Masterpiece Suite. The exterior, designed by Squire & Partners, uses a distinctive cogwheel-patterned facade, while interiors come from Eyal Shoan's Digital Space studio working alongside D*Face, the hotel's Signature Artist, whose large-scale murals, sculptures and bespoke details run through guest rooms and public areas. The hotel's centerpiece is a 135m² immersive art gallery on the ground floor, open to both guests and the public, showing D*Face works alongside two original Banksy pieces and rotating exhibitions from local and emerging artists. A 60-seat auditorium hosts screenings and product launches, and flexible event space on the 24th floor adds meeting and function capacity with skyline views. The combination of scale, a purpose-built tower and a single-artist art programme positions art'otel London Hoxton as a lifestyle property aimed as much at London's creative and events crowd as at overnight guests passing through Shoreditch.

Dining & wellness

The Brush, an all-day grand cafe, lounge and cocktail bar on the ground and first floors, serves European dishes and cocktails with an outdoor terrace. A destination restaurant with 360-degree panoramic terraces was planned for the 25th floor, launching later in 2024. Wellness facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room, a Proverb spa with four treatment rooms, and a gym on the 26th floor that opened in summer 2024.
