Hyde & Seek, London Hyde Park, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
A £42 million transformation moves the former Corus Hotel Hyde Park into Marriott's Tribute Portfolio
Announced · September 2026
Hyde & Seek, London Hyde Park, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is set to open in September 2026 as the £42 million rebrand of the formerly independent Corus Hotel Hyde Park into Marriott's Tribute Portfolio. The 309-room property at 1 Lancaster Gate takes its design cues from Bayswater's bohemian 1960s and 70s heritage, via interior designer Goddard Littlefair and architect Unwin Jones Partnership.

The place
The hotel is at 1 Lancaster Gate in Bayswater, on the doorstep of Hyde Park and within walking distance of Paddington, Mayfair and Oxford Street. The building previously operated as the independently branded Corus Hotel Hyde Park.
The concept
Hyde & Seek is the rebrand and £42 million refurbishment of the formerly independent Corus Hotel Hyde Park into Marriott's Tribute Portfolio — a genuine operator and brand change on an existing hotel building rather than a new address. Interior designer Goddard Littlefair, working with architect Unwin Jones Partnership, built the concept around Bayswater's bohemian character in the 1960s and 70s, referencing figures including Zandra Rhodes, Ossie Clark, David Hockney and David Hicks alongside more traditional Victorian architectural detailing. At 309 rooms, it becomes one of the larger Tribute Portfolio properties in Europe, giving Marriott a park-facing address in a part of London — Bayswater/Lancaster Gate — that has had comparatively little recent hotel investment compared with Mayfair or the West End.
Dining & wellness
Seekers Restaurant and Bar is the hotel's main food and beverage outlet; HydeOut is a second, more casual space. Suites and family rooms include Toto Washlet smart toilets and Grown Alchemist toiletries as part of the refurbishment.
