Moxy Nashville Capitol District

Marriott is bringing a second Moxy to Nashville, and this one has nothing to do with the existing Moxy Nashville Downtown on Honky Tonk Row. An eight-story, 188-room property is rising at 450 James Robertson Parkway as the hotel component of The Bend at Capitol District, a mixed-use development north of the State Capitol, targeting a September 2027 opening.

The place

The hotel sits at 450 James Robertson Parkway, on the north edge of downtown Nashville facing the Tennessee State Capitol and Metro Courthouse, at the corner where the parkway bends past Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. It anchors The Bend at Capitol District, a nearly 550,000-square-foot mixed-use project that forms the second phase of the TownePlace Suites at North Capitol development completed in 2020. The address puts it a walk from the Capitol and Germantown, and a short trip from Lower Broadway and the honky-tonk core — close enough to downtown's entertainment district without sitting inside its noise and cover charges.

The concept

This is Nashville's second Moxy, not a relaunch or expansion of the existing Moxy Nashville Downtown at 110 Third Avenue South on Honky Tonk Row — that hotel, already open and marketed as "the only hotel on Broadway," is a separate property under a separate roof. The Capitol District Moxy is a new eight-story building going up as part of The Bend, developed by Ridgeline Development Partners and Deep Cove Partners with Skanska USA as general contractor, JLL managing the project, and interior design by The Gettys Group over an architectural base by Nashville's Smith Gee Studio and New York's S9 Architecture. It shares its footprint with a ten-story residential building split between The Delle at The Bend (Marriott Bonvoy extended-stay units) and The Residences at The Bend (market-rate apartments), the two structures linked by an open-air paseo. Where the Broadway property leans into tourist-strip energy, this one is being built into a mixed-use district still forming around it — a bet on the Capitol District becoming a genuine neighborhood rather than an overflow valve for lower downtown.

Dining & wellness

No restaurant or bar concept for the hotel itself had been announced publicly as of August 2026. The Bend's paseo is set to carry roughly 17,000 square feet of retail and dining shared across the development, but operators have not been named, and it isn't yet confirmed how much of that space belongs to the hotel versus the neighboring residential building.
