Hotel Fraye Nashville Midtown
Hilton's first Curio Collection property in Nashville, across from Vanderbilt
Open · August 2022
Hotel Fraye Nashville Midtown opened August 18, 2022, as Curio Collection by Hilton's first property in the city, installing 200 rooms across from Vanderbilt University on Broadway. Developed by Eagle Realty with Greystar and Whitman Peterson and operated by Concord Hospitality, the hotel pairs a ground-floor restaurant with a seventh-floor rooftop bar and pool, betting on Midtown's mix of university traffic and Music Row proximity rather than a downtown honky-tonk address.

The place
The hotel sits on Broadway in Midtown, less than a mile from Vanderbilt University and its medical center, in a stretch of Nashville that trades the lower Broadway tourist strip for a denser mix of hospitals, university buildings and new residential towers. Music Row and its recording studios lie a short walk away, and downtown's honky-tonks and the Country Music Hall of Fame are a quick rideshare rather than a walk. The location puts the hotel closer to Vanderbilt-driven business and medical travel than to the bachelorette-party crowds that fill lower Broadway, and an adjacent residential building sharing some of the hotel's amenities reinforces the neighborhood's live-work character over its entertainment-district one.
The concept
Hotel Fraye is the Nashville debut of Curio Collection by Hilton, the soft brand Hilton uses for independently minded hotels that keep local character while plugging into Hilton Honors and its distribution. Eagle Realty developed the 200-room property with Greystar and Whitman Peterson, and Concord Hospitality Enterprises manages it day to day. R2L designed the building and EOA Group handled interiors, built by JE Dunn, with a positioning built around the idea of a woman's journey as a Music City trailblazer — an origin story the hotel uses to frame guestroom and public-space design rather than leaning on generic Nashville honky-tonk signifiers. The rooms and public spaces read as contemporary and residential rather than overtly Southern or vintage, a deliberate contrast to the boot-and-guitar aesthetic found closer to Broadway's tourist core. The hotel also carries meeting and event infrastructure atypical of a 200-room boutique property: nearly 6,000 square feet of event space on the seventh floor, including a 3,000-square-foot ballroom that holds up to 275 guests, positioning Fraye as much for Vanderbilt-adjacent conferences and medical-industry gatherings as for leisure travelers drawn by Music Row.
Dining & wellness
Gathre, the ground-floor restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner built around a modern American menu drawing on regional Tennessee ingredients, with weekend programming that includes a jazz dinner, DJ brunch and live music. On the seventh floor, Eddie Ate Dynamite is a Gatsby-inflected rooftop bar and lounge with live music seven nights a week, opening onto a cabana-lined pool deck shared with an adjacent residential building. A modern fitness center rounds out the amenities, equipped with Peloton bikes and a dedicated yoga studio rather than a conventional gym setup.
