Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown

Tempo by Hilton opened its Nashville Downtown property in February 2024, a 306-room, 16-story hotel adjacent to Nashville Yards and half a block from Broadway. Developed by HRI Hospitality and managed by HRI Lodging, it was only the second Tempo by Hilton to open anywhere, following the brand's August 2023 debut in Times Square. Architecture firm ESa and Wimberly Interiors gave the tower an Art Deco-inflected nod to Nashville's historic downtown buildings rather than the exposed-brick look common to competing conversions.

The place

The hotel sits at 127 Rosa L Parks Boulevard, less than a block from Broadway's honky-tonks and neon signage, and next to the Nashville Yards mixed-use development. Bridgestone Arena, Music City Center and the Ryman Auditorium are all roughly a third of a mile away, and the Country Music Hall of Fame is about half a mile off. Nashville International Airport is around six miles east. It's a downtown address built for a stay organized around live music and convention traffic rather than a quiet retreat — guests are within walking distance of the Lower Broadway strip that drives much of the city's tourism, without the outskirts trade-off of cheaper parking-lot hotels.

The concept

HRI Hospitality developed the 16-story tower with Nashville-based architecture firm ESa, drawing on the city's grand historic buildings and layering in Art Deco details instead of defaulting to a warehouse-conversion aesthetic. Wimberly Interiors handled interiors and BELL Construction built the project, which HRI says was delivered significantly ahead of schedule and under budget — an achievement recognized when the hotel won Development of the Year (Select/Limited Service) at the 2025 ALIS Awards. Tempo by Hilton is Hilton's wellness-oriented lifestyle brand, built around fitness and recovery rather than the maximalist styling of sibling brands like Canopy or Curio. The Nashville property leans into that positioning more than most Tempo openings: alongside a roughly 1,000-square-foot fitness center fitted with Technogym equipment, it has six dedicated wellness rooms with Peloton bikes and a hydration bar serving alkaline filtered water. It also became the first hotel in Nashville to install Topgolf Swing Suites — two golf-simulator lounges — a nod to convention and bachelor-party demand as much as to wellness. With more than 9,500 square feet of meeting space, including a corner boardroom and an indoor-outdoor terrace, the hotel is pitched at groups and conferences as much as at the Broadway crowd.

Dining & wellness

Food and drink center on two venues rather than a single flagship restaurant. Bluestone Lane Café, the Australian-inspired coffee brand's first Nashville location, anchors the ground floor with espresso drinks and casual bites. Five floors up, Lovelorn Lounge & Pool Bar serves New American food with Southern touches alongside Mediterranean-leaning poolside offerings, set against the fifth-floor sky lobby's views over downtown and Nashville Yards. The same level holds the rooftop pool and its own bar, so most of the hotel's social life plays out on that fifth-floor deck rather than at street level.
