Four Seasons Hotel Nashville opened in November 2022 inside a new 40-story tower in SoBro, the tallest addition to a skyline the brand had never previously claimed. The 235-room property occupies the lower levels of a mixed-use building topped by 144 private residences, putting Four Seasons service over the Cumberland River in a city built its reputation on live music rather than luxury hotels.

The place

The hotel sits in SoBro (South of Broadway), the stretch of downtown Nashville that has absorbed most of the city's recent high-rise development, a short walk from Broadway's honky-tonks, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Nissan Stadium across the river. The address puts guests inside the entertainment district's density while keeping distance from its loudest corners, and river-facing rooms look out over the Cumberland toward East Nashville. At 40 stories and 542 feet, the tower is among the tallest in Tennessee, giving the hotel a vantage point the city's older, low-rise hospitality stock cannot match. It is Four Seasons' first property in Tennessee and its first in the American South outside Texas and Florida.

The concept

The building was developed by AECON Capital and The Congress Group, designed by the architecture firm SCB with a form its designers describe as drawing on the shape of an acoustic guitar — a podium clad in weathered steel and warm-toned panels supporting a sleeker glass tower above. The hotel occupies floors five through fourteen, with 144 privately owned residences rising through the remaining floors above it; a 380-car garage and roughly 9,500 square feet of street-level retail complete the mixed-use program. General contractor was AECOM Hunt. Inside, rooms and suites lean on black walnut, leather and burnished metal, a materials palette meant to read as regional without falling into overt Southern pastiche. Room categories range from Superior Rooms overlooking the pool terrace to River-View Rooms and suites facing the Cumberland, up to a Presidential Suite built for entertaining and, at the top of the residential tower, a penthouse that has listed for $33.5 million. As the first Four Seasons in a city whose hospitality identity has been built almost entirely on independent boutique hotels and mid-market chains catering to bachelorette parties and music tourism, the property is a clear bet that Nashville's growth as a business and relocation destination can support a five-star, brand-led alternative.

Dining & wellness

Mimo Restaurant and Bar is led by Neapolitan chef Aniello "Nello" Turco, who earned a Michelin star at Mio inside Four Seasons Hotel Beijing before moving to Nashville; the restaurant serves Southern Italian cooking, built around fermentation techniques Turco has carried across postings, inflected with local Southern ingredients. Its name is Italian for "mockingbird," Tennessee's state bird. A seventh-floor terrace holds an infinity-edge pool and a year-round hot tub with Cumberland River views, alongside a spa offering treatments from Pietro Simone and Omorovicza, and a 24-hour fitness centre.
