Conrad Nashville opened June 29, 2022, bringing Hilton's luxury flag to a 234-room tower on West End Avenue in Midtown Nashville. The hotel occupies part of Broadwest, a new mixed-use development that also holds an office tower and 196 condominiums, and it arrived as one of the first purpose-built luxury hotels in a city long dominated by boutique conversions and honky-tonk hotels downtown.

The place

The hotel sits at 1620 West End Avenue in Midtown Nashville, a few steps from Music Row and roughly midway between downtown Broadway and Vanderbilt University. This stretch of West End has filled in fast with office towers and condominiums over the past decade, and Conrad Nashville anchors one end of Broadwest, the four-acre development that combines the hotel with a 21-story office building and residential tower. The location trades the honky-tonk density of lower Broadway for a quieter, business-and-residential corridor, putting the hotel closer to Vanderbilt, Belmont and the music-publishing offices of Music Row than to the tourist strip most visitors associate with Nashville.

The concept

Conrad Nashville is a new-build hotel, not a conversion, occupying part of a 34-story tower designed by Cooper Carry as the centerpiece of the Broadwest development; the same tower holds 196 branded residences above the hotel floors. Interiors are by Champalimaud Design, which built a double-height lobby around a spiral staircase with a brass balustrade referencing musical instruments, then carried dark wood, brass and neutral tones through the public spaces and 234 guest rooms. Rooms average around 450 square feet, with a Grand Suite reaching roughly 3,000 square feet, and standard amenities include Frette linens, marble bathrooms with rain showers, and Byredo bath products. The property positions itself as Nashville's answer to a gap in the market: a full-service luxury hotel built from scratch rather than adapted from an older building, aimed at business travelers using the adjacent office tower and event space alongside leisure guests drawn to the city's music industry. Five dedicated wellness rooms and 17,000 square feet of meeting and event space reinforce that dual audience, positioning the hotel as much for corporate bookings and conferences as for the bachelorette and tourism traffic that fills much of downtown Nashville.

Dining & wellness

Dining centers on Blue Aster, a modern Southern restaurant with a farm-to-table focus on the first floor, paired with an adjoining lounge that stocks a 2,500-bottle wine collection alongside champagne and cocktails. Thistle & Rye, on the third floor, functions as a live-music bar serving globally inspired small plates and cocktails built around Tennessee whiskey — a direct nod to the city's music and spirits industries. A rooftop pool deck adds casual poolside food and drink with downtown skyline views, and the hotel counts five wellness rooms among its 234 keys rather than a standalone spa facility.
