New hotels in Jackson Hole

A private Snake River sporting club setting for a genuinely small-scale luxury lodge, minutes from Grand Teton National Park.

Coming soon in Jackson Hole

Jackson Hole tracks five open hotels spread across four distinct settings: directly on Jackson's Town Square, at the base of Snow King Mountain, on a butte south of town, and inside a private sporting club along the Snake River, plus one project still working through town approvals. Prices range from roughly $700 a night at a private-club lodge to $1,800 at an adults-only property on East Gros Ventre Butte, reflecting how differently these five hotels are positioned even within the same small valley, from downtown convenience to genuine backcountry seclusion.

What to do

A weekend in Jackson Hole

Start at Jackson's Town Square, framed by its four log-arch elk-antler arches and the traditional starting point for trips into the surrounding national parks, then drive the roughly 12 miles north to Grand Teton National Park's southern entrance for an afternoon among the peaks and along the Snake River. In the evening, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, just north of town, is worth an hour before dinner back on the square, and Jackson's own restaurant scene (concentrated within a few blocks of The Cloudveil) covers everything from steakhouses to more contemporary Western cuisine.

A full week

With more time, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort at Teton Village (a separate base area from the in-town Snow King Mountain) adds serious hiking and, in winter, skiing terrain via its aerial tram, one of the largest vertical drops in North America. A half-day float trip on the Snake River is a common way to see the Tetons from the water, and Yellowstone National Park's southern entrance is roughly an hour and a half north for travelers with an extra day, making a longer Jackson Hole stay a reasonable base for both national parks. The National Elk Refuge, just north of town, adds a winter sleigh-ride season when thousands of elk migrate down from the surrounding mountains, and the Jackson Hole and Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center at the refuge's edge is a useful stop for trip planning regardless of season.

Where to stay

On Town Square: The Cloudveil, Autograph Collection

The Cloudveil, Autograph Collection opened on Jackson's historic Town Square on May 26, 2021, the only hotel located directly on the square. The 100-room property replaced a 1970s Wells Fargo bank building with drive-through teller lanes that itself stood on the site of Jackson Hole's first bank; architects TruexCullins and CLB Architects, working with the IBI Group, referenced the oldest standing structure on the square in stacked stone, timber and metal, anchored inside by a three-story granite wall and a wood-burning fireplace with a boulder front desk. Rooms and suites are finished with oak beams, leather furnishings and photography from local Jackson Hole artists, a design pitched at travelers who want a downtown address without giving up mountain-lodge materials: putting guests within a block of downtown's restaurants, galleries and outfitters.

Jackson's northern gateway: Mogul Hotel and Residences (planned)

A few blocks north of Town Square on North Cache Street, Mogul Hotel and Residences, Jackson Hole cleared its sketch-plan and Planning Commission approvals in 2025 after a scaled-down redesign following heavy community pushback over an earlier, much larger proposal that had drawn a temporary town building moratorium. The revised five-building plan, about 245,000 square feet across a 2.46-acre site Mogul Capital assembled from eleven separate parcels, combines 109 hotel rooms with market-rate and deed-restricted workforce condominiums, a restaurant, a spa and mostly underground parking. No hotel brand has been announced and the project still needs Development Plan review before construction can begin.

Base of Snow King Mountain: Trailborn Jackson Hole

Trailborn Jackson Hole opened on June 3, 2026, rebuilding the longtime Snow King Resort at the base of Snow King Mountain, a few blocks from Town Square. Trailborn's in-house design studio, Vida Design, and DYNIA Architects worked in reclaimed wood, native stone and blackened steel to keep the 1970s chalet's Western bones while replacing everything else; the 203-room hotel and 45-unit condominium complex is Trailborn's largest property to date and its debut as a founding brand in Marriott Bonvoy's new Outdoor Collection, pairing ski-in/ski-out access with downtown's restaurants and galleries within walking distance.

East Gros Ventre Butte: Hotel Yellowstone at Jackson Hole

Hotel Yellowstone at Jackson Hole opened on August 1, 2024, as Teton County's first adults-only hotel, roughly five miles south of Grand Teton National Park and about ten minutes from Town Square. Independent hotelier Jerry Johnson bought and renovated the lodging portion of the former Spring Creek Ranch resort into 36 suites spread across a four-acre site atop East Gros Ventre Butte, Spring Creek Ranch's remaining condos and villas continue to operate separately nearby under their original name, with unobstructed views of both the Teton Range and the Snake River valley; rooms start from $1,800.

Snake River Sporting Club, outside town: The Sylvan Lodge

The Sylvan Lodge soft-launched in June 2025 inside the private, nearly 1,000-acre Snake River Sporting Club, roughly 30 minutes from Jackson's Town Square. Noble House Hotels & Resorts operates the 38-room luxury lodge along the Snake River, with one- and two-bedroom suite configurations rather than standard hotel rooms (a format built around the club's private fly-fishing access and golf course rather than a conventional hotel program) from $700 a night.

Which hotel for your trip

Travelers who want to walk everywhere

The Cloudveil's spot directly on Town Square makes it the only hotel among the five where restaurants, galleries and outfitters are all within a single block.

Skiers and hikers who want slopeside access with a town address

Trailborn Jackson Hole's base at Snow King Mountain gives direct trail access while keeping Town Square a short walk away: a pairing Teton Village properties don't offer.

Couples wanting a quiet, adults-only stay

Hotel Yellowstone at Jackson Hole's 36 suites and Teton Range views on East Gros Ventre Butte suit a higher-budget, adults-only trip a short drive from town.

Travelers who want privacy and river access over a town setting

The Sylvan Lodge's location inside the private Snake River Sporting Club, about 30 minutes from Jackson, suits travelers who would rather be on the river than in town.

Travelers watching Jackson's next opening

Mogul Hotel and Residences has cleared its town approvals but still needs Development Plan review before construction: worth checking back on before planning a stay around it specifically, since local press has called it Jackson's largest-ever private commercial development once complete.
