Mogul Hotel and Residences, Jackson Hole
A five-building complex approved for Jackson's northern gateway, four years into planning and still without a hotel brand or a groundbreaking date
Announced · TBC
Mogul Capital's plan for Jackson's northern gateway — a five-building complex combining a 109-room hotel with market-rate and workforce condominiums, a restaurant and a spa — cleared its sketch-plan and Planning Commission approvals in 2025 after a scaled-down redesign following heavy community pushback over an earlier, much larger proposal. No hotel brand has been announced and the project still needs Development Plan approval before construction can begin.

The place
The site sits on North Cache Street at Jackson's so-called northern gateway — inside the town of Jackson itself, not Teton Village — a few blocks from Town Square and a short drive from Grand Teton National Park's southern entrance. Mogul Capital assembled the 2.46-acre footprint by buying up eleven separate parcels along the corridor, one of the largest single land assemblies in the town's history.
The concept
Mogul's first version of this project, pitched in 2024 at roughly 366,000 square feet, would have been more than double the size of the Wyoming state capitol and about four times the footprint of Jackson's Target store; it drew sustained community opposition and prompted the town to impose a temporary building moratorium. The developer came back with a scaled-down five-building plan of about 245,000 square feet, combining 109 hotel rooms with market-rate and deed-restricted workforce condominiums, a restaurant, a spa and mostly underground parking. The Town Council approved that sketch plan in June 2025 after months of public hearings over the workforce-housing split, and the Planning Commission subsequently approved the building massing. Local press has called it Jackson's largest-ever private commercial development. No hotel operator or brand has been named at any stage of the process, and the project still has a Development Plan review to clear before construction can start.
Dining & wellness
Early sketch-plan materials describe a restaurant and a spa within the complex, but no operator, chef or spa brand has been announced, and none of these spaces has opened or even broken ground.
