The Sylvan Lodge

The Sylvan Lodge opened quietly on June 18, 2025, inside the private Snake River Sporting Club, nearly 1,000 acres along the Snake River and next to Bridger-Teton National Forest. Noble House Hotels & Resorts operates the 38-room property, its third in the Jackson Hole area after Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa and Hotel Terra Jackson Hole. A grand opening celebration was planned for May 2026. The club is owned by Christopher Swann.

The place

The lodge sits about 30 minutes from Jackson's town square, a short drive from Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole Airport. The address is Weiskopf Way, in Hoback.

The setting is the club itself: a Tom Weiskopf-designed championship golf course, ranked second in Wyoming, seven private miles of fly-fishing water on the Snake River, and equestrian excursions across the grounds.

The concept

Rooms and suites run from a 350 to 450 square foot king or double room up to a four-bedroom penthouse of roughly 2,700 to 2,800 square feet. In between come one-bedroom suites (about 1,000 to 1,100 square feet), junior penthouses and penthouses, two-bedroom suites, and Canopy suites that add bunk rooms for families: the three-bedroom Canopy Suite sleeps eight.

Furnishings are by RH, over white oak floors and wool carpets. Bathrooms have heated stone floors and deep soaking tubs, beds carry Frette linens and Down Etc. duvets, and the suites have gas fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies and fully equipped kitchens. The Canopy suites add a wet room with a walk-in shower.

Guests receive a temporary membership to the club for the length of their stay, which opens golf, equestrian programs and winter activities. In winter these include heli-skiing, cross-country skiing, ice skating and MoonBike excursions. In summer: hiking, biking, archery and shooting sports.

Dining & wellness

Englemann's Bistro serves a complimentary daily breakfast: huckleberry crepes, cast-iron Dutch babies, steel-cut oats, avocado toast, house-baked breads, juices and smoothies. The Dark Sky Bar serves cocktails and small plates indoors and out, with sunset views of the Tetons.

The club has other venues, including the River Room, Canyon Bar and Martin Creek Poolside Grill, which are listed on the club's site as club dining rather than lodge outlets.
