The hotel sits on East Gros Ventre Butte, roughly five miles south of Grand Teton National Park and about ten minutes from Jackson's Town Square. Its 36 suites are spread in clusters across a four-acre site, giving Hotel Yellowstone the only unobstructed views in the area of both the Teton Range and the Snake River valley below.
The concept
Hotel Yellowstone occupies part of the former Spring Creek Ranch resort: local hotelier Jerry Johnson, who also owns Jackson's Rustic Inn and Parkway Inn along with properties in Utah and Florida, bought the lodging portion of Spring Creek Ranch and fully renovated it into a standalone, independently branded property. Spring Creek Ranch's remaining condos and villas continue to operate separately nearby, under their original name. Johnson describes the result as "a labor of love," built around Western-inspired interiors that draw on Jackson Hole's ranching history, its proximity to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, and local wildlife. The hotel opened as Teton County's first adults-only property on August 1, 2024, admitting only guests 21 and older.

Olivia's Restaurant and Bar serves organic, locally sourced American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wellness facilities include a heated indoor pool behind retractable glass windows, a fitness center, and a spa offering red light therapy and cold-plunge treatments alongside more conventional treatments.
