The place
The 633-foot tower occupies the northeast corner of Broadway and West 54th Street in Midtown Manhattan, at the northern edge of the Times Square/Theater District corridor.
The concept
RIU Plaza New York is the Spanish group's first hotel in the city, a 54-story, 633-foot tower with a glass curtain wall and a street-level podium of retail and signage typical of the Times Square area. RIU acquired the site — previously a low-rise office building — in 2023 and has been building steadily since, reaching street level in late 2025 and roughly the halfway mark by spring 2026.
Dining & wellness
Plans confirmed by RIU and construction press include two 300-seat restaurants and a lounge bar, though menus, chefs and interior finishes have not been detailed publicly.
