The place
West 48th Street runs between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, a short walk from Rockefeller Center. The surrounding blocks are mostly corporate headquarters, and the hotel sits within reach of Radio City Music Hall, Times Square and the venues that host big sporting events and concerts.
From the south-facing rooms above the 15th floor, guests see the Empire State Building and One World Trade Center. A few rooms on the north side look toward Rockefeller Center.
The concept
SLCE Architects designed the tower, and INC Architecture & Design handled the interiors. The same studio led the 2022 renovation of nearby Rockefeller Center. The language is modern classicism: a muted palette, warm wood and fluted paneling.
The rooms are small by design. The brand calls them jewel boxes, and each has a custom window seat. Beyond the standard rooms there are two large suites, some with lock-off connecting capability and pull-out couches, and nine rooms with outdoor terraces.
Check-in is self-service on the ground floor. The main lobby is on the third floor, where The Parlor and a staffed reception desk share the space. A 24-hour gym of 1,375 square feet has Peloton bikes, cardio equipment and yoga mats.
Dining & wellness
The Parlor, an all-day café and bar, is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and hosts the daily Kimpton social hour. Bar Rocco, an Italian-American brasserie by chef Rocco DiSpirito, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Amasa, a Latin steakhouse by chef Christopher Loeffl, was slated to follow in March 2026, together with Bar Amasa, a street-level cantina. Jade Rabbit, an Asian izakaya on the roof, was announced for April 2026 with 360-degree views that take in Rockefeller Center, Radio City, the JPMorgan building and the Empire State Building.
