The place
The hotel is at 233 West 125th Street in Harlem, next to the Apollo Theater, on the site of the landmarked Victoria Theater — a 1917 movie palace that had stood vacant and never operated as a hotel.
The concept
Marriott built its fifth Manhattan Renaissance property as new construction rising behind and above the Victoria Theater's preserved 1917 facade, marquee, ticket booth and Thomas Lamb-designed lobby staircase, restored rather than demolished. It's Harlem's first full-service hotel in roughly a century, positioned to serve both business and leisure travelers drawn to 125th Street's cultural corridor, with interiors and programming built around tributes to Harlem Renaissance-era musicians and writers.
Dining & wellness
Victoria Restaurant & Bar serves the hotel's main dining, with Victoria Lounge in the lobby offering soul-fusion food and cocktails, plus a rooftop bar and more than 9,000 square feet of event space across five rooms.
