The place
The site sits at 250 Great Eastern Highway in Ascot, in the City of Belmont on the south bank of the Swan River, about 6.5 kilometres from the Perth CBD and roughly 4 kilometres from Perth Airport: a vacant plot owned by Strive Pty Ltd, distinct from both Pullman Perth Airport, which sits on airport land itself, and The Bennett by Ovolo Perth, a Wyndham Hotel, an unrelated Wyndham-branded property already open across the river in East Perth.
The concept
Property Development (WA), a company whose sole director is Angela Tilli, lodged plans for the 15-storey, 226-key hotel in June 2024. Perth's WA Development Assessment Panel initially signalled concerns over the building's setback and street appearance before granting conditional approval with amended plans in November 2024, adding conditions on horizontal screening overlooking neighbouring properties, public art, and carparking. As of September 2026, no construction start date or opening date has been announced.
The approved design places most hotel rooms on the ground floor and levels four through 13, with 22 serviced apartments on levels two and three, and two basement levels providing 132 car parking spaces.
Dining & wellness
Plans include a rooftop restaurant and bar on level 14 with capacity for 119 patrons, a ground-floor bar and hotel reception, a gym, a swimming pool, meeting rooms and outdoor terraces.
