Anantara Perth Hotel

Anantara Perth Hotel, announced in February 2026, will introduce Minor Hotels' luxury Anantara brand to Australia for the first time, anchoring the AUD $3.8 billion Burswood Point masterplan on the Swan River waterfront. The 150-room hotel, developed by Golden Sedayu, is anticipated to open in 2032.

The concept

Announced in February 2026, Anantara Perth Hotel marks the first Australian location for Minor Hotels' Anantara brand, part of a global collection of more than 50 Anantara properties known for a Thai-inspired approach to hospitality. The newly built hotel is developed by Golden Sedayu, a partnership between Perth's Golden Group and Agung Sedayu, one of Indonesia's leading property developers, as the hospitality anchor of their AUD $3.8 billion Burswood Point masterplan — envisioned as a flagship entertainment, tourism and residential waterfront destination. Minor Hotels already operates more than 60 Australian properties under its Oaks and Avani brands; Anantara represents a step up into the luxury tier for the group in this market.

Dining & wellness

Plans include two destination restaurants, a swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness centre and an Anantara Spa, introducing the brand's wellness format to Perth.
