The place
The planned site sits at 180 Bennett Street in East Perth, a residential-and-riverside pocket of the city east of the CBD, distinct from the Elizabeth Quay and Northbridge precincts where most of Perth's recent hotel openings have concentrated.
The concept
Announced in 2026, the project pairs Ovolo's design-led, boutique-lifestyle hotel format with Wyndham's global distribution, franchise structure and loyalty programme — the first hotel to combine the two brands under their newly announced strategic partnership in Australia. Construction is planned to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with an anticipated opening in March 2028; the 111-room hotel exists so far only as a development plan, and nothing has been built on site yet.
Dining & wellness
Plans include a restaurant, bar and fitness centre, in keeping with Ovolo's typical boutique-hotel programme, though full details of operators and design have not yet been announced.
