The Westin Perth

The Westin Perth opened in May 2018 as the brand's debut in Western Australia, a 368-room tower built into Hibernian Place on the former Perth Fire Station site. It gave the city's east end, long overshadowed by the CBD's western half, a five-star hotel of its own.

The place

The hotel sits at 480 Hay Street in Perth's East End Historic Heart, a pocket of heritage buildings between the CBD and Elizabeth Quay that the city has been steadily reviving. It's a short walk to the quay, to Hay Street Mall shopping, and to the restaurants and bars that have followed the hotel into the precinct.

The concept

A 28-level tower designed by HASSELL with interiors by Melbourne's BAR Studio, the Westin forms the centrepiece of BGC Development's Hibernian Place alongside the heritage-listed Hibernian Hall, built on the site of the former Perth Fire Station. Its 368 rooms include 24 suites — 10 Club, eight Westin and five Executive Suites, plus a Presidential Suite — built around the brand's wellness-first positioning: Heavenly Beds, in-room fitness gear and a dedicated workout studio.

Dining & wellness

Garum, chef Guy Grossi's Italian restaurant, occupies the heritage Hibernian Hall building next door and is the hotel's signature dining room; Haven Lounge handles all-day and bar service. BODHI Spa runs six treatment rooms and a fifth-floor relaxation terrace, and there's a level-5 outdoor pool and 24-hour Westin WORKOUT studio.
