Hyde Perth
Ennismore's music-led party-hotel brand touches down on Pier Street, its first purpose-fitted address anywhere.
Open · April 2026
Hyde Perth transformed the shell of a late-1960s Pier Street building into the CBD's newest lifestyle address, opening in April 2026 as the first Hyde hotel Ennismore has built to its own brief from the ground up. The 121-room property brings the brand's music-led, LA-inflected energy — DJ residencies, an urban pool and Grecian dining at Farra — to a city better known for corporate towers than nightlife hotels.

The place
On Pier Street in the heart of Perth's CBD, a five-minute walk from Perth Railway Station, Hyde Perth occupies the completely reworked shell of a late-1960s building rather than a new tower.
The concept
Hyde Perth is Ennismore's Australian debut for the brand and the first Hyde hotel the group has designed and built specifically to its own brief, rather than retrofitting the concept into an existing luxury hotel. Sydney-based designer Sarah Townson of Ark Capital, who researched the project with a trip to Hyde's Los Angeles flagship, reworked the 1960s shell around a bohemian, sun-washed palette of handcrafted rugs, custom furniture and muted tones broken up by bold, rhythmic artwork. The 121 rooms average a compact 30-35 square metres, in line with the brand's global standard, which positions the hotel around its public spaces and programming rather than room size. The bigger bet is cultural rather than architectural: Hyde Perth runs an ongoing calendar of DJ residencies, live sets and wellness sessions intended to give the CBD a hospitality address with a genuine nightlife pulse, a role Ennismore has built successfully around Hyde properties in Los Angeles and Miami. Whether that formula reads as authentic rather than imported in a market with a much smaller late-night economy than those cities is the open question hanging over the launch.
Dining & wellness
Dining runs through Farra, a Grecian-inspired restaurant and bar led by executive chef Aaron Moore (previously of Bread in Common and Coogee Common), spread across a dining room, pool bar and terrace and built around hot and cold meze. The hotel also has an urban pool, a TechnoGym-equipped fitness suite and guided yoga sessions.
