DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Northbridge

DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Northbridge welcomed its first guests in December 2018, a 206-room new-build hotel at 100 James Street developed and owned by SKS Group under a Hilton management agreement. It was both the DoubleTree brand's first Western Australia property and Australia's first purpose-built new-construction DoubleTree — a distinct property from DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront.

The place

The hotel sits on James Street in Northbridge, Perth's dining and entertainment district just north of the CBD across the rail line — a livelier, more nightlife-driven setting than the CBD or Elizabeth Quay hotels. This is a distinct address and property from the earlier DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront at 1 Barrack Square; the two share only a brand name.

The concept

Built new rather than converted, and developed and owned by SKS Group under a Hilton management agreement, the hotel was both the DoubleTree brand's first Western Australia property and Australia's first purpose-built new-construction DoubleTree. It targets business and leisure travellers wanting Northbridge's restaurant and bar scene on their doorstep, backed by Hilton's loyalty programme and DoubleTree's signature welcome cookie.

Dining & wellness

The hotel's outdoor pool and bar area is the main social space, alongside all-day dining and function space with capacity for up to 160 guests, aimed at Perth's corporate meetings market.
