Thompson Denver

Thompson Denver opened in February 2022 on a long-vacant LoDo parking lot, a twelve-story new build with 216 rooms and a chalet-inspired design by DLR Group and Parts + Labor. Chef Ludo Lefebvre's ground-floor restaurant, Chez Maggy, gives the Hyatt-flagged luxury lifestyle hotel a genuine culinary draw.

The place

Thompson Denver opened at 1600 Market Street in LoDo (Lower Downtown), on a site that had sat as a surface parking lot for decades before construction.

The concept

Developed by T2 Hospitality and opened February 7, 2022, Thompson Denver is a ground-up, twelve-story building designed by Denver's own DLR Group, described by the design team as a modern-day take on a mountain chalet. Interiors by the award-winning firm Parts + Labor, working with the Thompson Hotels design team, lean into that alpine-lodge sensibility layered with a more urban, Hyatt-luxury polish. As part of Hyatt's Thompson Hotels flag, the property brings a nationally recognized luxury-lifestyle brand to LoDo, positioning itself as a social hub for the neighborhood via its ground-floor restaurant and a sixth-floor sunroom bar, rather than purely as a place to sleep.

Dining & wellness

Chez Maggy, a 90-seat ground-floor restaurant from celebrity chef Ludo Lefebvre, anchors the hotel's dining program. Reynard Social, a sixth-floor sunroom bar and lounge, adds a daytime-to-evening drinking and lounging space.
