The Rally Hotel at McGregor Square

The Rally Hotel at McGregor Square opened in March 2021 as the anchor of a newly built city block next to Coors Field, giving Denver's LoDo district an independent, baseball-themed lifestyle hotel from Sage Hospitality. Its rooftop plunge pool and four distinct bar and restaurant concepts make it as much a destination for drinks as for a room.

The place

The Rally Hotel anchors McGregor Square, a newly built city block in Denver's LoDo neighborhood directly adjacent to Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies.

The concept

Opened to the public on March 25, 2021, the Rally is a ground-up, 182-room build developed as the hospitality anchor of McGregor Square, a mixed-use block combining the hotel with residences, retail and a public plaza built by the Colorado Rockies organization. Independent operator Sage Hospitality Group, through its in-house Sage Studio, built the concept around Americana and baseball culture rather than borrowing a national flag brand. Architecture is by Stantec, with a design language playing on ballpark nostalgia — vintage typography, sport-inflected artwork and a generally playful, celebratory tone — married to a fairly conventional upscale lifestyle-hotel program of a rooftop deck, multiple bars and a year-round heated pool.

Dining & wellness

Dining spans several concepts: The OG for all-day American classics and brunch, Call Me Pearl as an evening cocktail bar, The Grandstand Café serving coffee by day and drinks after 5pm, and High Society, a seasonal rooftop bar and grill. The rooftop Skybridge Deck adds a heated plunge pool, hot tub and fire pits overlooking Coors Field.
