The Source Hotel opened in August 2018 at 3330 Brighton Boulevard in Denver's RiNo Art District. Dynia Architects designed the eight-story, 100-room building, which sits on top of The Source Market Hall. In August 2022 the developer Zeppelin Development sold the hotel and market hall to Stockdale Capital Partners for about $70 million.

The place
RiNo, short for River North, is a former industrial district north of downtown Denver, now known for murals, bars, boutiques and galleries. The Denver Central Market, another food hall, is nearby.
From the airport, the A Line train stops at 38th and Blake station, about half a mile from the hotel. Union Station is the other rail point of reference. Guests who drive can use the parking garage, and self-parking is included in a package rate.
The concept
The complex began as an iron foundry in the 1880s near the South Platte River. The market hall, converted from that building, opened in 2013, and the hotel followed in 2018 as a glass-and-steel tower with a sharply angled profile. The project won Colorado's Innovative Project of the Year in 2018 and holds LEED certification; the Michelin Guide cited its modern design.
There are five room types. The Studio King measures 294 square feet, the Roll-up King 326 square feet with a garage-style glass door, the Deluxe King 344 square feet, the Studio Two Queen 327 square feet and the Ironworks Suite 480 square feet, which draws on the building's industrial past. Some rooms have Japanese soaking tubs, and some face the Rocky Mountains. The hotel describes the style as Scandinavian calm with a brutalist edge, and the furniture is custom.
Dogs up to 75 pounds are accepted, with a bed and treats on request.
Dining & wellness
Cimera, on the eighth floor, serves a Pan-Latin menu by the Peruvian chef Diego Muñoz. Market hall vendors include Safta, Mediterranean and Israeli cooking from the James Beard Award winner Alon Shaya, Smok for barbecue, Temaki Den for hand rolls and flame-seared sushi, and the chocolate maker Fev'co Chocolat. Switchwood is also listed among the hall's tenants, and the market hall hosts food pop-ups.
The heated rooftop pool is open year-round and has a hot tub; it faces west, which makes sunset the busy hour. The gym has Peloton bikes.

August 24, 2022: Zeppelin Development sold The Source Hotel and Market Hall in Denver's RiNo district to the Los Angeles firm Stockdale Capital Partners for roughly $70 million. The complex combines the 100-room hotel opened in 2018 with the market hall created in a former iron foundry.
