Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah is under construction on reclaimed beachfront land in Meraas' Port de La Mer, Meliá's first beachfront hotel in the UAE. The roughly 380-room property is backed by an AED 1 billion investment from developer ASB Investment and has announced a restaurant lineup including Zuma Beach House and Novikov Beach, with completion targeted for late 2026 though some press has reported a 2027 opening.

The place

The hotel occupies reclaimed beachfront land within Meraas' Port de La Mer master plan in Jumeirah, with direct marina access and beach frontage — Gran Meliá's first UAE property and Meliá's first beachfront hotel in the country.

The concept

Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah is developer ASB Investment's roughly AED 1 billion ($272 million) bet on Port de La Mer, an artificial peninsula off Jumeirah, bringing Meliá's flagship ultra-luxury brand to the UAE for the first time in a beachfront format. The project pairs five-star accommodation with one of the UAE's longest infinity pools, event space for up to 1,000 guests and a restaurant lineup announced well ahead of opening — a marketing approach several other Dubai 2026 debuts have also used to build anticipation during a long construction runway.

Dining & wellness

The announced restaurant lineup includes Zuma Beach House, Novikov Beach, Park Chinois, Cazibeli and Rubia Gallega — an unusually starry roster of established international restaurant brands for a single opening, all previously unannounced in the UAE in this combination.
