Banyan Tree Dubai opened on 2 December 2023 on Bluewaters Island, the brand's first Dubai hotel, replacing the earlier Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai under a partnership between Ennismore, Banyan Tree Group and Dubai Holding. The 178-room property, redesigned by BLINK Design, includes TakaHisa, named the Michelin Guide's Best Japanese Restaurant in Dubai for 2023.

The place

The resort fronts a 500-metre stretch of private beach on Bluewaters Island, Dubai's man-made island facing Jumeirah, with views of the Arabian Gulf and the Ain Dubai observation wheel.

The concept

Banyan Tree Dubai is the brand's first Dubai property, opened by Ennismore and Banyan Tree Group under a partnership with Dubai Holding announced in September 2023 — a fast turnaround that reflects the fact that the site was previously occupied by Caesars Palace Bluewaters Dubai, which closed as Caesars exited the Dubai market. BLINK Design reworked the property around a 'soft minimalism' aesthetic distinct from the Roman-themed original, across 178 rooms, three temperature-controlled pools and the brand's signature Asian-inflected spa.

Dining & wellness

Demon Duck is a speakeasy-style bar with Hong Kong-inspired cocktails and pan-Asian dishes; TakaHisa, named the Michelin Guide's Best Japanese Restaurant in Dubai in its 2023 selection, serves sushi and wagyu; Alizée offers beachside Mediterranean dining; and Tocha is a contemporary Japanese tea house. Saffron, Banyan Tree's signature Thai restaurant concept, has also operated at the property as a limited-run outlet.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Banyan Tree Dubai and it truly exceeded all expectations. The resort is stunning — beautiful villas, breathtaking views, world-class facilities, and an incredibly relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel completely pampered. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the outstanding service, especially from Kabir. From the very first day, Kabir went above and beyond with his warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. He remembered our preferences, offered perfect recommendations, and always had a friendly smile and positive energy. His attention to detail and dedication made us feel like valued guests. Kabir is an absolute star — one of the best waiters we’ve ever encountered anywhere in the world. He turned every meal and interaction into a highlight of our trip. Thank you Banyan Tree Dubai and especially Kabir for the incredible hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Weekend escape at Banyan Tree Dubai on Bluewaters My husband and I booked a standard double room just for the weekend — to change the scenery after work and recharge a little. We had previously stayed at a Banyan Tree resort in Malaysia and really loved the concept. The Dubai property is also maintained to a very high standard. The location is Bluewaters, one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Dubai. We had a room overlooking the bay and the beach — spacious, clean, very comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. One thing we especially appreciated was the hotel’s commitment to sustainability: no unnecessary plastic, and even the coffee capsules come without plastic packaging. The hotel features a swimming pool, gym, and barbecue grill area. The gym, by the way, is excellent — modern equipment, spotless facilities, and a very comfortable setup. Breakfast was a highlight: plenty of options, delicious food, and an incredible selection of pastries. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I even lost my parking ticket, but we simply provided our car number and they quickly found it without any hassle. The beach is very clean, beautiful, and peaceful. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a weekend escape in Dubai when you’re looking for great service, beautiful views, and that feeling of having truly relaxed.

I celebrated my birthday at the hotel as part of their Iftar on the beach sunset experience. Leading up to it, Eslam made speedy responses to all of my enquiries and helped me feel so organised. It was truly one of the most magical experiences I have had! The food was outstanding. The service was amazing from the servers Bimal, Sangam Paras and Salman. The set up on the beach was beautiful. I’m so impressed by the venue and I can’t wait to return!

I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon at Banyan Tree Dubai today, 26th July 2026 arriving at 14:30, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality of the team made me feel incredibly welcome. A special thank you goes to Nelson and Mathew, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail of my visit was perfect. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and friendly approach truly elevated the experience. The entire team on duty at both the pool and beach deserves recognition. Every interaction was met with a smile, prompt service, and a sincere willingness to help. It’s rare to encounter a team that consistently delivers such outstanding service while making guests feel so valued and cared for. The beautiful surroundings, combined with the impeccable service, created a truly memorable and relaxing day. Thank you to everyone who made my visit so special. I look forward to returning soon and would highly recommend Banyan Tree Dubai to anyone looking for a luxurious experience paired with world-class hospitality.

My stay at Banyan Tree Bluewaters was overall excellent. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are outstanding, and the level of hospitality provided by the team was truly exceptional. Every staff member I interacted with was professional, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, which made the stay very enjoyable. However, the breakfast experience was a major disappointment and unfortunately the weakest part of the entire stay. For a luxury property such as Banyan Tree, the breakfast offering was surprisingly limited, lacking both variety and generosity. The selection was very restricted, with minimal choices compared to other luxury hotels in Dubai. There was very little diversity in the food options, and the overall experience did not reflect the standards expected from a five-star resort. While the hotel, service, and hospitality deserve the highest praise, the breakfast was honestly one of the most disappointing breakfast experiences I have had in Dubai. It simply did not match the quality and excellence demonstrated throughout the rest of the property. I sincerely hope management reviews and improves this aspect of the guest experience, as the hotel and its team deserve a breakfast offering that reflects the true Banyan Tree standard.
