Atlantis The Royal

Atlantis The Royal opened to the public on 10 February 2023 on Palm Jumeirah, Kerzner International's second Atlantis resort in Dubai. The 43-storey, Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed tower holds 795 rooms and suites — 44 with private infinity pools — and restaurants from Nobu Matsuhisa, José Andrés and Heston Blumenthal.

The place

The resort stands at the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, next to Kerzner's original Atlantis, The Palm, on its own stretch of beach with views back toward the Dubai Marina skyline.

The concept

Atlantis The Royal is Kerzner International's second Palm Jumeirah flagship, a 43-storey cantilevered tower designed by New York firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, distinct from — though adjacent to — the original Atlantis, The Palm. Its defining feature is scale-as-spectacle: 795 rooms and suites, 44 of which include private infinity pools, positioning the property as a byword for maximalist Dubai luxury since its heavily publicised opening.

Dining & wellness

The dining programme reads as a roll call of celebrity chefs: Nobu Matsuhisa (Nobu, plus a Nobu pool and beach club), José Andrés (Jaleo, Spanish), Heston Blumenthal (Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and his debut bar, Resonance), Gastón Acurio, Ariana Bundy and Costas Spiliadis all operate outlets at the resort.
