Atlantis The Royal opened to the public on 10 February 2023 on Palm Jumeirah, Kerzner International's second Atlantis resort in Dubai. The 43-storey, Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed tower holds 795 rooms and suites, 44 with private infinity pools, and restaurants from Nobu Matsuhisa, José Andrés and Heston Blumenthal.

The place

The resort stands at the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, next to Kerzner's original Atlantis, The Palm, on its own stretch of beach with views back toward the Dubai Marina skyline.

The concept

Atlantis The Royal is Kerzner International's second Palm Jumeirah flagship, a 43-storey cantilevered tower designed by New York firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, distinct from, though adjacent to, the original Atlantis, The Palm. Its defining feature is scale-as-spectacle: 795 rooms and suites, 44 of which include private infinity pools, positioning the property as a byword for maximalist Dubai luxury since its heavily publicised opening.

The dining programme reads as a roll call of celebrity chefs: Nobu Matsuhisa (Nobu, plus a Nobu pool and beach club), José Andrés (Jaleo, Spanish), Heston Blumenthal (Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and his debut bar, Resonance), Gastón Acurio, Ariana Bundy and Costas Spiliadis all operate outlets at the resort.

Atlantis The Royal is truly an exceptional hotel and easily one of the most impressive places I have stayed in Dubai. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is incredible. The design, architecture and attention to detail are on another level, but what makes the experience particularly enjoyable is that the quality of service matches the surroundings. The staff are professional, attentive and genuinely helpful. Everything is handled efficiently, and throughout the stay you feel that you are being taken care of at a very high level. Another highlight is definitely the restaurants. The quality and variety of dining options are excellent, and we had some truly memorable meals during our stay. And, of course, the views are absolutely spectacular. The combination of the architecture, the sea and the Dubai skyline creates a very special atmosphere, particularly in the evening. Atlantis The Royal manages to feel impressive and luxurious while still being a place where you can genuinely relax and enjoy yourself. The entire experience, from the service to the restaurants and atmosphere, was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return. One of the most memorable hotel experiences in Dubai. 10/10.

Simon at the Royal Club in Atlantis The Royal made our stay truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, he was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. His hospitality and genuine care for guests really stood out, and he went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The service at the Royal Club was outstanding, and Simon’s attention to detail made all the difference. He is a fantastic host and a real credit to Atlantis The Royal. I visited Atlantis The Royal in Dubai in November, and the experience was absolutely incredible. Everything was exceptional — from the breathtaking architecture and luxurious atmosphere to the outstanding service and attention to detail. The hotel is truly spectacular, with impressive facilities, stunning views, and an unforgettable overall atmosphere. Every detail feels carefully considered, creating an experience that is truly on another level. One of the most impressive hotels I have ever visited. Absolutely unforgettable and highly recommended!

I’m writing this review only due to the excellent service we received from Nikhil Sharma, what an incredible asset to the team he is! We booked a stay for our anniversary, but unfortunately had some complaints about our room, and had to wait quite some time for it being handled properly. Eventually we met Mr. Sharma, he made sure our anniversary celebration was absolutely wonderful in the end, and it was absolutely worth the wait! Mr. Sharma, thank you again for the great solution you offered and the respect shown towards us. You immediately took the disappointment away. Also, a big thank you for how our daughter was being treated. You made our stay wonderful! We will definitely come back!
