The place
The tower stands in Dubai Marina, with floor-to-ceiling windows across its 1,004 rooms giving panoramic views of Palm Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf.
The concept
Ciel Dubai Marina, developed by The First Group and operated under IHG's Vignette Collection, rises 82 floors and 377 metres, an 'eye of the needle' silhouette designed by Norr that overtakes the previous record-holder, Dubai's own 356-metre Gevora Hotel, making Ciel the world's tallest purpose-built hotel. The building's most-covered feature is the level-76 Tattu Sky Pool, an infinity pool roughly 310 metres above street level, marketed as the world's highest.
Dining & wellness
Eight dining venues span the tower, headlined by Tattu — the UK-born modern Asian brand — across three levels: Tattu Restaurant & Bar on level 74, and the Tattu Sky Pool and Sky Lounge on level 76. West 13 offers a Mediterranean-inspired all-day menu drawing on Italian, Greek, Spanish, French and Latin American cuisines.
