The place
The hotel sits on the West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah, Dubai's man-made palm-shaped archipelago, with private beach frontage and views back toward the mainland skyline.
The concept
W Dubai - The Palm was the brand's first 'W Escape' resort format in the Middle East, built new on the Palm Jumeirah crescent rather than converting an existing property. It leans on W's playful, nightlife-driven positioning — bold colour, a see-and-be-seen pool scene, and destination restaurants from name chefs — rather than the more restrained tone of Dubai's palace-style resorts.
Dining & wellness
Signature restaurants at opening included Torno Subito, Italian chef Massimo Bottura's playful Riviera-style concept, and an outpost of Akira Back's Asian-fusion menu from the Korean-American chef, alongside the brand's usual WET pool deck and Away Spa.
