The Hari Singapore
The Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre, trading under IHG since 1985, is exiting the group in spring 2027 to reopen as The Hari Singapore, Harilela Hotels' third property after London and Hong Kong.
Announced · Spring 2027A 1985 Holiday Inn on the quiet end of Orchard Road is being stripped of its IHG flag and rebuilt as The Hari Singapore, the third outpost of Harilela Hotels' design-driven boutique brand. The place
The hotel sits at 11 Cavenagh Road, on the quieter northern edge of Orchard Road where the shopping strip gives way to Emerald Hill's conserved Peranakan terraces. It is a short walk from the malls and MRT stations that anchor the district, but set back enough to avoid their density.
The concept
The building opened in 1985 as the Holiday Inn Park View Singapore, the first IHG-flagged hotel in the country, and was renamed Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre after a 2009 refurbishment. In spring 2027 the property exits the IHG system entirely to reopen as The Hari Singapore, the third address for Harilela Hotels' boutique brand after The Hari London (2016) and The Hari Hong Kong (2020). Harilela Hotels is the Hong Kong-based, family-owned operator founded in 1959 by the Harilela family. The Singapore conversion reunites the brand with British designer Tara Bernerd, whose studio shaped the interiors of both existing Hari hotels and returns to apply the same layered, residential aesthetic to a 326-room Singapore property built at an entirely different scale than its two predecessors.
Dining & wellness
Reported plans for the property include a rooftop pool, an executive lounge, and dining and wellness facilities still to be detailed publicly. As with the London and Hong Kong hotels, The Hari Singapore is expected to carry the brand's signature rotating art programme, with works cycled through public spaces rather than fixed as permanent decor.
