The place
The tower stands on the 99-year leasehold site of 84,000 square feet that IOI bought in September 2021 for S$1.508 billion. It sits at the southern edge of the Marina Bay financial district, within about ten minutes on foot of three MRT stations (Shenton Way, Downtown and Marina Bay), and close to Raffles Place, Tanjong Pagar and Chinatown.
The architect is Architects61, whose commercial portfolio includes Asia Square Tower and Robinson Tower.
The concept
The tower is a mixed-use scheme where hotel and residences share one address. The hotel takes floors 1 to 14 and the residences run from the 15th to the 51st.
Marriott announced 350 rooms and suites. One property-market source gives around 540 rooms for the same building, and the figure kept here is Marriott's. Amenities listed at signing include a wet deck, a fitness center, a spa and several restaurants and bars.
Residents get the hotel's services (concierge, housekeeping, laundry) and spa treatments in onsen rooms. Residential facilities are on three levels: a 25-meter pool on level 15, function rooms on level 34, and a sky retreat with a lap pool on level 51.
Dining & wellness
Around 20,000 square feet of public food and beverage space is planned on the lower floors. Marriott speaks of several restaurants and bars and gives no names, chefs or cuisines yet.
