W Manchester occupies the hotel floors of St Michael's, the GBP 400 million tower Gary Neville's Relentless Developments and Manchester-based Salboy signed with Marriott International in 2023. It is W Hotels' first UK property outside London and pairs the 162-room hotel with 217 W Residences apartments in the same 41-storey building — Marriott's first W Residences outside the capital and one of only around 20 W Residences worldwide. Plans include the brand's signature W Lounge, an AWAY Spa and a FIT fitness centre, alongside two restaurants and retail space; specific F&B operators have not been named.
