Hotel Brooklyn Manchester opened in February 2020 on Portland Street, a new-build, 189-room hotel designed by squid.inc — the team behind Hotel Gotham — around a Brooklyn-loft aesthetic. Bespoke Hotels operates the property, which built 18 fully accessible bedrooms into its design from the outset and centres its F&B on Runyon's, a restaurant and bar named after Damon Runyon's Broadway-era characters.

The concept
A new-build hotel on Portland Street, designed by squid.inc — the same team behind Hotel Gotham — around a Brooklyn-loft aesthetic: exposed materials, industrial detailing and a New York sensibility applied to a Manchester address. Marshall CDP owns the freehold, with Bespoke Hotels holding a long-term operating lease. Accessibility was built into the design from the outset rather than retrofitted, including 18 fully accessible bedrooms with integrated hand grips and removable grab rails.
Dining & wellness
Runyon's, the ground-floor restaurant and bar, serves a European- and American-influenced menu with dishes named after characters from Damon Runyon's Broadway-era short stories, the inspiration for the hotel's Brooklyn theme; Salvation, an events bar on the top floor, adds a second venue.
