Mövenpick Singapore

A new 808-room tower rising on Hoe Chiang Road in Tanjong Pagar will become the largest Mövenpick hotel in Asia-Pacific when it opens in 2027, a short walk from Singapore's Raffles Place financial district. The project is being developed with Fragrance Group and Global Premium Hotels, the hospitality vehicles of Singapore businessman Koh Wee Meng, as part of a wider three-hotel agreement with Accor that also includes a Handwritten Collection property on Waterloo Street.

The place

Hoe Chiang Road sits in Tanjong Pagar, the dense grid of streets on the southern edge of Singapore's Central Business District, a short walk from Raffles Place and the Marina Bay financial core. Tanjong Pagar itself has developed into a dining and nightlife district over the past decade, mixing converted shophouses with newer mid-rise developments.

The concept

At 808 rooms, Mövenpick Singapore will be markedly larger than any other property currently carrying the brand in the region, a scale jump Accor has made the centrepiece of its announcement. The hotel forms one part of a single new-build development on Hoe Chiang Road that will also house Mövenpick Living Singapore, a 37-key extended-stay property sharing the same address. The project is being developed with two Singapore-listed hospitality groups controlled by businessman Koh Wee Meng: Fragrance Group, which he chairs, and Global Premium Hotels, led by CEO Ko Lee Meng. The Hoe Chiang Road agreement was signed alongside a second new-build deal for a 502-key Handwritten Collection hotel on Waterloo Street, bringing the combined signing to more than 1,300 keys across two sites.

Dining & wellness

Accor's announcement leans on brand-level language about Mövenpick's culinary positioning, but has not disclosed specific restaurant, bar or spa concepts for the Hoe Chiang Road property. No chef partnerships, outlet names or wellness facilities have been confirmed at this stage.
