The place

140 South Lasky Drive is a quiet residential block in Beverly Hills' Golden Triangle, a short walk from Rodeo Drive but removed from its traffic — the kind of address that trades street-level visibility for the fact that neighbors would object to anything louder.

The concept

Hôtel Lili occupies a three-story house built in 1939 as a private residence, converted by Palisociety into its ninth Los Angeles-area property — a milestone for a company that built its reputation on smaller, characterful hotels rather than scale. Founder Avi Brosh's in-house design studio leaned into a European, specifically Parisian, palette: soft white and pale grey walls set against warm camel, orange and mustard accents, with striped upholstery, hand-painted details, sculptural glass lighting and wallpapered ceilings. Brosh has described the intent as favoring mood and texture over the high-gloss opulence typical of Beverly Hills luxury hotels — a deliberate contrast with the Montage and Peninsula properties a short drive away. The 44 rooms come in King, Deluxe King and Suite configurations. There is no pool on site; guests draw on access to a neighboring property's pool instead — a compromise typical of small residential conversions on a fixed footprint.

Dining & wellness

Hôtel Lili does not have a standalone restaurant. Its lobby doubles as a bar in the evenings, serving classic cocktails and small bites, with complimentary sparkling wine on arrival; in-room dining covers breakfast and lunch, plus an evening snacks menu running from late afternoon into the night. Rooms carry Bellino Italian linens, Diptyque bath amenities and Grind espresso machines rather than a spa program — this is a hotel built around its rooms and its bar, not a wellness destination.
