Coming soon in Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills is a city of 5.71 square miles, entirely surrounded by Los Angeles, and about 32,700 people lived in it at the 2020 census. Those two figures explain most of what a visitor notices. The streets are short, the blocks are regular, and a hotel's address says as much about its mood as its star rating does. Our tracked hotels sit in three different settings: a residential street in the Golden Triangle, a quiet corner on the city's southwest edge, and a construction site at the corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards.

The Golden Triangle is the part most people mean when they say Beverly Hills. It is bounded by Santa Monica Boulevard, Wilshire Boulevard and Crescent Drive, and it holds Rodeo, Beverly, Cañon, Camden and Bedford drives. Everything else, the Flats between Santa Monica and Sunset, the hillside streets of Trousdale Estates, is mostly houses.

Two hotels in this guide have opened in 2026, and one has not opened yet. All three are covered below, along with what the neighborhood offers around them.

What to do in Beverly Hills

For a weekend

Start on Rodeo Drive, which is shorter than its reputation suggests, and then leave it. The side streets do more work than the main one. Cañon Drive and Beverly Drive carry the restaurants and the everyday shops, and the cobbled curve of Via Rodeo, which branches off Rodeo Drive, is where visitors stop to photograph a street that looks more like a film set than a thoroughfare.

Beverly Gardens Park runs along Santa Monica Boulevard for roughly two miles, a long thin strip of lawn, rose beds and palms that doubles as the city's jogging route. The Beverly Hills sign stands in it. A walk from one end to the other takes about forty minutes at an easy pace and costs nothing.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts stands in the Flats, the residential grid between Sunset and Santa Monica boulevards, and puts on theatre and dance.

For a longer stay

Greystone Mansion, in Trousdale Estates, was finished in 1928 by the oilman Edward L. Doheny as a wedding present for his son. It has 55 rooms, the city owns it, and its gardens are open to walk through. Virginia Robinson Gardens, built in 1911 by the heiress of the J. W. Robinson department store family, is also open to the public.

Beyond the city line the options widen quickly. West Hollywood sits directly to the east, and the Sunset Strip is a short drive away: see West Hollywood for the hotels we track there. Hollywood proper is further on, covered in Hollywood, and the bigger picture, including Downtown, is in Los Angeles. Beverly Hills is about 12 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, and traffic decides whether that takes twenty-five minutes or an hour.

Getting around

Walking works inside the Golden Triangle and nowhere else. A hotel on a residential street a few blocks from Rodeo Drive is a pleasant walk in daytime. Reaching Century City or the Sunset Strip is a car or rideshare trip, and Los Angeles International Airport is about ten miles from the southwest edge of the city, which is the distance the hotel at Beverwil Drive quotes.

Rail is arriving, slowly. The Metro D Line extension is building a station at Wilshire and Beverly Drive, under the name Beverly Drive station on current listings. Construction began in September 2019, and its opening date has moved several times since. The Wilshire/La Cienega station, the last stop of the first section, opened on May 8, 2026. Treat any claim of a subway connection to Rodeo Drive as a future benefit until Metro confirms a date for the second section.

Where to stay in Beverly Hills

The Golden Triangle, on a residential block

Hôtel Lili is at 140 South Lasky Drive, a quiet block in the Golden Triangle, inside a house built in 1939. Palisociety converted the residence and opened it in April 2026 as its ninth hotel in the Los Angeles area, and its first in Beverly Hills. Forty-four rooms, split between kings, deluxe kings and suites, and a lobby that serves as reception by day and a small bar in the evening. There is no restaurant and no pool of its own, which is the trade for a hotel of this size.

The design was led by Avi Brosh and Palisociety's in-house studio, with a Parisian residential palette: this is a house that has been furnished, not a lobby that has been staged. Rates start from $235 a night, according to the listing we track, well below what the Golden Triangle usually charges. The address is the other half of the appeal. It is a short walk from Rodeo Drive and removed from its traffic, on a block where the neighbors would object to anything louder than conversation.

The southwest edge, toward Century City

Cameo Beverly Hills, LXR Hotels & Resorts occupies 1224 Beverwil Drive, a residential street on the Los Angeles side of the city boundary, which is why its mailing address reads Los Angeles, California 90035. The building was the Mr. C Beverly Hills until Braemar Hotels & Resorts, a REIT that owns it, announced in August 2023 that it would be rebranded under Hilton's LXR collection. Remington Hospitality manages it. The relaunch took place on January 26, 2026, two and a half years after the announcement, following a renovation.

Cameo Beverly Hills has 138 rooms and suites, each with a private balcony, and the hotel lists Premier as its designer. Rates start from $210, which makes it the lower of our two open prices by a small margin. Rodeo Drive and Century City are both nearby, and the hotel names West Hollywood among its neighbors.

One Beverly Hills, Wilshire and Santa Monica

Aman Beverly Hills is not open. It is rising inside One Beverly Hills, a 17.5-acre site at the intersection of Wilshire and Santa Monica boulevards, immediately west of the Beverly Hilton and the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. The hotel will be Aman's first on the West Coast: 78 suites in a ten-story building, designed by Kerry Hill Architects, with phased delivery targeted from late 2027 and full completion aimed at 2028.

The development around it is far larger than the hotel. It includes residences, a separate Aman Club of about 100,000 square feet, and botanical gardens, of which more than half is planned to be open to the public. Reports on the total cost disagree: figures between $5 billion and $10 billion circulate, depending on the source and the date. The site absorbed more than a decade of planning disputes before construction began, and vertical construction followed financing in 2025 and 2026.

No rates exist yet. Until the hotel publishes a booking calendar, treat the 2027 date as a target.

Which hotel in Beverly Hills for your trip

Shopping on Rodeo Drive and Cañon Drive

Hôtel Lili is the closest option to the shops on foot, and it is the one to choose if you would rather return to a quiet block than a hotel lobby. Cameo is a few minutes further by car and gives you a balcony with the room, which matters more than it sounds in Los Angeles, where the weather is the main amenity.

A short stay with a car

Cameo suits a visitor who is dividing the days between Beverly Hills, Century City and Culver City, since the street it sits on points south and west rather than into the Golden Triangle. With 138 rooms it is also the larger of the two open hotels by a wide margin: three times the size of Lili.

Something smaller and cheaper than its neighbors

Hôtel Lili at $235 undercuts the usual Golden Triangle bracket, and its room count of 44 means you are unlikely to meet a crowd at breakfast. The absence of a pool and a restaurant is the thing to weigh. The lobby bar covers evenings, and the surrounding blocks cover meals.

Ultra-luxury, once it opens

Aman Beverly Hills is the hotel to follow if your budget runs to a brand that has never operated on the West Coast. Suites only, and a club on the same site. Nothing is bookable today.

How the three hotels compare

The two open hotels are separated by neighborhood more than by price. Lili sits inside the Golden Triangle on a residential block. Cameo is on the southwest edge, on the Los Angeles side of the line, with more rooms and balconies. The $25 difference between their entry rates is small beside the difference in location.

Both opened within a quarter of each other: Cameo on January 26, 2026 and Hôtel Lili in April 2026. Both are conversions of existing buildings, a hotel in one case and a 1939 house in the other, which is how most of the city's recent supply has appeared. Beverly Hills has almost no vacant land, so new hotel rooms come from existing structures or from large assembled sites like One Beverly Hills.

The historic hotels set the benchmark from far earlier. The Beverly Hills Hotel was built between 1911 and 1912, and the Beverly Wilshire dates from the 1920s. Against them, the 2026 arrivals are small and quiet by design.
