Virgin Hotels is bringing its first Georgia property to Centennial Yards, the vast redevelopment reshaping downtown Atlanta across from State Farm Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The 261-room, 14-story tower topped out in early 2026 and is targeting a 2027 opening as the anchor of the development's new Entertainment District.

The place

The hotel sits within Centennial Yards, the roughly $5 billion mixed-use redevelopment of downtown Atlanta's former Gulch rail yards, directly across from State Farm Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It anchors the development's planned Entertainment District, alongside neighbors that include an immersive venue and a Live Nation performance space.

The concept

Announced in April 2026 by CIM Group, Centennial Yards Company and The Drew Company, this new-build, 14-story tower is Virgin Hotels' first Georgia property and is under active construction, having topped out in early 2026. The 261-room hotel will follow the brand's signature 'Chambers' room concept — compact layouts built to flex between sleeping, working and lounging — with a mix that includes Grand King Chambers, one-bedroom suites and a penthouse suite. Roughly 2,900 square feet of flexible meeting space across three rooms rounds out the program.

Dining & wellness

Food and beverage spans a ground-floor lobby bar with an outdoor patio, a signature restaurant and pool bar with a private dining room, and a rooftop bar and lounge with a terrace. The pool deck adds private cabanas, a seasonal exterior bar and an adjacent event lawn.
