The 466-room property sits opposite Piedmont Park in Atlanta's arts and business district, with 45,500 square feet of meeting space aimed at corporate groups alongside the leisure market.

The place

The hotel sits at 188 14th Street NE in Midtown Atlanta, steps from Piedmont Park and directly connected to the Colony Square complex, including the Politan Row food hall. Midtown is Atlanta's arts and business corridor, putting the property within walking distance of the High Museum of Art, the Fox Theatre, and the offices that drive the neighborhood's corporate travel demand.

The concept

The tower opened in 1973 as part of the original Colony Square development and operated as W Atlanta Midtown under Marriott from 2008 until 2022, when new ownership took the property through a full renovation and moved it into Hilton's Curio Collection — an independently branded portfolio rather than a Hilton-flagged conversion in name only. The redesign leans on Atlanta's identity as a heavily wooded city, using floral ceiling prints, bird motifs, and murals of local musicians and cultural figures in place of the W brand's former nightlife-driven aesthetic. The repositioning targets both corporate groups, via roughly 45,500 square feet of meeting space including a 9,400-square-foot ballroom, and leisure travelers drawn to Midtown's cultural institutions.

Dining & wellness

Lantana, the hotel's all-day restaurant and lobby bar led by executive chef Cole Pate, serves through breakfast, dinner, and late-night service and hosts weekly live music. The Spa at The Starling offers treatments and wellness packages, and a terrace-level pool provides food and beverage service with cabana rentals. Guests also have direct access to the food stalls of Politan Row at the adjoining Colony Square development.
