Moxy Atlanta Downtown has opened at 329 Marietta Street, a 183-room, ground-up tower built on a former parking lot two blocks from Centennial Olympic Park. Marriott's lifestyle brand leans into a disco-and-music theme across its rooftop lounge, hidden speakeasy and East Coast debut of Eggslut, timed to catch the FIFA World Cup crowds passing through downtown in summer 2026.

The place

The hotel sits at 329 Marietta Street NW in downtown Atlanta's tourism corridor, a short walk from Centennial Olympic Park, the Georgia Aquarium, the College Football Hall of Fame and Mercedes-Benz Stadium — inside the perimeter of venues hosting FIFA World Cup matches in summer 2026.

The concept

Developed by Nexera Capital in partnership with Emerge Hospitality Group and managed by LBA Hospitality, the 10-story, 183-room hotel is a ground-up build on a parcel that previously held a surface parking lot and a low-rise commercial building, both demolished to clear the site. The tower was trimmed down from an originally planned 13 stories during design, part of a roughly $28 million project that broke ground in mid-2024. Inside, Moxy's playful lifestyle formula gets a disco-era, music-culture spin: guest-room corridors are lined with song lyrics and artwork referencing cassette tapes and sound culture, while the facade carries an LED sign and a mural by a local artist.

Dining & wellness

Check-in doubles as a social ritual at Bar Moxy, the lobby bar that greets arriving guests with a welcome drink. The property marks the East Coast debut of Eggslut, the Los Angeles-born egg-sandwich concept, on the ground floor. Upstairs, a rooftop lounge pairs skyline views over downtown Atlanta with curated cocktails, shareable bites and rotating DJs, while a retro-futuristic hidden speakeasy supplies the after-dark counterpoint.
