JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown
A W Atlanta icon reborn as JW Marriott's first wellness-led U.S. flagship.
Open · May 2026
JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown opens in the shell of the former W Atlanta Downtown, reimagined by Looney & Associates into a 237-room hotel built around the brand's first U.S. wellness floor. The debut lands just ahead of Atlanta's turn in the FIFA World Cup 2026 spotlight, giving the city a second JW Marriott address downtown.

The place
The hotel occupies 45 Ivan Allen Jr Boulevard in downtown Atlanta, within walking distance of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, State Farm Arena and the Georgia Aquarium, positioning it at the center of the city's FIFA World Cup 2026 exposure.
The concept
The former W Atlanta Downtown has been stripped back and rebuilt by Looney & Associates into JW Marriott's first U.S. property organized around a dedicated wellness floor, trading the W brand's nightlife energy for a calmer, more considered register. It becomes Marriott's second JW-branded hotel in Atlanta alongside JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead, operated by Stonebridge Companies.
Dining & wellness
The Ledger, a 360-degree lobby bar, anchors the ground floor next to an Italian-inspired restaurant and JW Market for coffee and grab-and-go, while The Perch rooftop pool bar, a full-service spa and a fitness center round out the offer.
