The place
Hotel Phoenix stands at 70 Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW in downtown Atlanta, on Mile 0 — the historic terminus of the Western & Atlantic Railway where the city was founded. The 19-story tower faces Mercedes-Benz Stadium directly and sits within walking distance of State Farm Arena and the Georgia World Congress Center.
The concept
Designed by Atlanta-based TVS Design, Hotel Phoenix is a ground-up, new-build hospitality anchor for Centennial Yards, CIM Group's roughly $5 billion, 50-acre redevelopment of the rail yards that once ran through downtown Atlanta. The architecture and interiors draw on that industrial rail heritage — sweeping geometries recalling viaducts and railyards, leaning V-shaped columns, and an autumnal, industrial-edged palette. A curated art collection featuring more than 20 Atlanta-based and national artists runs throughout the property, reinforcing the hotel's namesake theme of the city's renewal from its 1864 destruction. It is the first completed hospitality piece of the wider Centennial Yards project.
Dining & wellness
Zephyr, the hotel's signature restaurant, serves French-influenced Southern brasserie fare alongside a cocktail program built around local ingredients. A rooftop bar and restaurant, plus an outdoor pool and event lawn, were slated to open in spring 2026; a lobby bar offers all-day drinks and light fare in the meantime. The hotel also holds more than 15,000 square feet of event space, including an 8,214-square-foot ballroom, plus a fitness center.
