Andaz Toronto – Yorkville
A 160-room Andaz was meant to open inside 'The One,' Toronto's tallest tower, back in 2022; the tower's original developer went bankrupt, its replacement builder cancelled every presale contract in late 2025, and the hotel is now realistically years away.
Announced · TBC
Hyatt's planned 160-room Andaz inside Toronto's One Bloor West tower — a project that survived its original developer's 2023 receivership — was reset again in November 2025 when new builder Tridel cancelled all presale contracts and returned deposits ahead of a planned early-2026 relaunch. The Andaz brand remains attached, but no realistic opening date exists.

The place
One Bloor West sits at the northeast corner of Yonge and Bloor Streets, in the Yorkville/Bloor-Yonge corridor at the heart of Toronto's shopping and subway-interchange district.
The concept
The Andaz would occupy floors four through sixteen of One Bloor West — formerly marketed as 'The One' — a supertall condo-hotel tower originally announced with Mizrahi Developments in 2019. Mizrahi was removed from the project and it entered receivership in 2023 under more than $1.9 billion in debt, one of Toronto's highest-profile construction failures of the decade. Tridel took over as development, construction and sales manager in 2025 and confirmed the Andaz brand would remain attached to the project, with a planned lobby on the fourth floor and an outdoor pool deck on the sixth. But in November 2025 Tridel cancelled every pre-construction purchase agreement on the residential portion and returned deposits, planning a relaunch in early 2026 — a reset that makes any prior completion estimate obsolete.
Dining & wellness
Restaurant, event-space and retail plans described in early Hyatt materials have not been reconfirmed since Tridel's 2025 restart, and no operator or concept has been named.
