The concept TOOR Hotel is JdV by Hyatt's second Toronto property and third in Canada, occupying a purpose-built tower with floor-to-ceiling windows throughout. Rooms lean on bespoke finishings and locally sourced amenities rather than a themed design concept, in keeping with JdV's independent-feeling positioning within the Hyatt portfolio.
Dining & wellness Muse Bistro + Bar serves French-inspired cuisine for both the restaurant and event catering. The hotel also has a fitness and yoga studio and roughly 1,100 sq ft of meeting space with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Our take A solid, unremarkable addition to Toronto's Garden District: the lake and skyline views from the upper floors are the strongest selling point, more than any singular design statement.

Hospitality at Its Finest – TOOR Hotel Truly Sets the Gold Standard!
Our stay at TOOR Hotel Toronto was nothing short of exceptional. The property itself is modern, beautifully designed, and located in a great part of the city, but what truly sets this hotel apart is its outstanding hospitality.
A special thanks to Shreya and Dhwanil at the Front Desk, who made our stay truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. They patiently guided us on the best places to visit, recommended local attractions and restaurants, and were always available whenever we needed assistance. Every request was handled with genuine warmth, professionalism, and a smile. Their attention to detail and willingness to help made us feel incredibly valued and cared for throughout our stay.
We would also like to sincerely thank Ammar, the Food & Beverage Manager, for his excellent hospitality and ensuring that every dining experience was enjoyable. His dedication to guest satisfaction was evident and greatly appreciated.
A special mention to Mr. Gazi and Mr. Raghav from the Porter team, who were extremely helpful during our checkout. They efficiently arranged our airport transportation and handled our luggage with great care, making our departure completely hassle-free.
The entire team at TOOR Hotel made us feel truly special. It is rare to find a hotel where every staff member is so genuinely committed to delivering exceptional service. Their warmth, attentiveness, and passion for hospitality turned a great stay into an unforgettable one.

Value: Terrible value for money. Paid CAD 400 a night for something that should be CAD 200.
Hotel itself: OK hotel. Very small common areas (ie there is no real lobby to speak of) and those larger common areas on a higher up floor are shared with the condos. Service is OK but not worthy of the Hyatt brand. Inconsistent and understaffed.
Rooms: Rooms are pretty nice in boutique-ish style but very small with next to no space for any luggage beyond a carry-on if you are two people.
Location: Don't be fooled by it's central location. You are in the midst of a junkie and homeless infested neighbourhood. We did not feel safe whatsoever as the hotel is right next to park known to be littered with syringes, junkies and homeless. Opposite the hotel is a homeless shelter which of course also is surrounded by junkies. You frequently see junkies consume crack, fentanyl and heroin at all hours of the day outside the hotel and in the whole neighbourhood. This problem expands across multiple blocks and on my last day i saw someone overdose in a park in broad daylight (not Moss Park but St James Park). I would never ever stay in this area again. It's shocking to me how this is not being picked up in other reviews.
Verdict: Never again.
I had to switch rooms but found both to be rather small. The smallest room I've ever had in a Toronto hotel actually. For a new development, I thought they could be a bit bigger. Not sure why some showers were glass doors and some were bathtubs (my room did not seem like a ADA room.) The AC was really weird during my stay and rather annoying. It kept going on/off every 5 seconds and it would keep me up.
Unless you're a deep sleeper, get a room far from the elevators. You can literally hear everything.
Location is fine, but as others say, you see a lot of homeless in the area. There is literally what appears to be a homeless shelter around the block, and lots of people hang out outside of it/the park next to it. Just be aware of your surroundings at all times and Uber when needed. Not the hotels fault, just wish it wasn't at the next block.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel in downtown Toronto. The hotel was beautiful, spotless, and in a perfect location. The staff were welcoming and professional throughout my stay.
A special thank you to the valet team. They were incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive from the moment I arrived. Their outstanding service made me feel truly welcomed and added a personal touch to my experience.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Toronto, and I will definitely be staying here again!
Had a great stay here. The room was perfect for us as a couple and the location is convenient and walkable. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The Eaton center is conveniently close by, as are a bunch of good food spots. You can take the train or tram and go virtually anywhere. The keycards worked perfectly, the amenities in the room were great, the Canadian shampoo made my hair super soft, etc.
What I think made this hotel most special were the staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! Big respect to the Asian guy working the reception night shift, I unfortunately didn't get his name but he's like the perfect person for customer service. Super friendly.
Other comments mention that the area is somewhat shady, but really it's just the Queen tram spot that has some tweakers. Even then, it was fine. No one bothered us and we used the tram regularly. It's not like the hotel can control the drug problem in the city.
