Embassy Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown

Embassy Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown opened on August 25, 2016 inside the historic Plymouth Building, converted by HRI Properties through a $110 million redevelopment. The 290-room, all-suite hotel, downtown Minneapolis's first Embassy Suites, is connected directly to the city's skyway system and includes roughly 9,000 square feet of meeting space.

The concept

HRI Properties converted the 12-story Plymouth Building — added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014 for its unique construction methods — into a 290-room, all-suite Embassy Suites through a $110 million redevelopment, opening on August 25, 2016. It was HRI's 81st project in a 35-year history. The hotel kept the building's existing Lyon's Pub as a local landmark tenant alongside its own new food and beverage space.

Dining & wellness

The hotel includes roughly 9,000 square feet of meeting space with a 3,600-square-foot ballroom, a first-floor bar, an indoor swimming pool and a 3,000-square-foot fitness center, plus a leased 7,000-square-foot restaurant space.
