The place
The hotel is planned for Church Street in the Parramatta CBD, a district often described as Sydney's "second CBD" roughly 25 kilometres west of the city centre, as part of a larger mixed-use development from property developer JQZ.
The concept
Signed in 2025, Sydney Marriott Hotel Parramatta will be the flagship Marriott Hotels brand's debut in Western Sydney: its fifth Marriott Hotels and Resorts property in Australia and second in New South Wales, after the brand's existing Sydney city-centre presence. The 279-room, ground-up new build is being developed by JQZ and is targeted to open in mid-2027, positioned to capture the growth of Parramatta's public and private investment as the district matures into a genuine second commercial centre for greater Sydney.
